Privacy

Your information, handled with care.

You trust us with real financial details to get you a car. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and who ever sees it.

What we collect

Contact inquiries: your name, email, phone number, and anything you tell us about the car you want and your budget.

Credit applications: the information a lender needs to evaluate financing — your name, date of birth, contact details, Social Security number, driver's license number, current and previous addresses, housing costs, employment, and income. You provide this only when you choose to apply.

How we use it

We use your information for one thing: getting you into a car. That means responding to your inquiry, sourcing and negotiating the vehicle you asked about, and — if you submit a credit application — presenting it to lenders and financial institutions to arrange financing on your behalf.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with anyone except as described here.

Who we share it with

Lenders and financial institutions, when you submit a credit application and authorize us to shop it.

Service providers that make the website work — our email delivery provider transmits your submission to us. These providers process your data only to deliver their service.

Authorities, if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep contact inquiries as long as needed to help you and for our business records. Credit application records are retained as required by applicable lending and dealer regulations, then disposed of securely.

How we protect it

Your submission travels encrypted (HTTPS) from your browser to us and is delivered to the GTB Auto team by email. We limit access to the people who need it to work your deal. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we treat your application the way we'd want ours treated.

Your California privacy rights

If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to know what personal information we have about you, to request a copy of it, to ask us to delete it (subject to legal retention requirements), and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We don't sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.

To exercise any of these rights, email us — we'll verify your identity and respond within the timeframe the law requires.

Questions

This policy may be updated as the business or the law changes; the date below reflects the latest revision. If anything here is unclear, ask us — a real person answers.
